Welcome to St Chad's Church of England Primary School!
I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to St. Chad’s website.
The information in this website is designed to give you as much information as possible about the many activities and opportunities, which take place in our exciting school. Our aim, quite simply is to do the very best for children and recognise their individuality and uniqueness. Childhood is a very special and wonderful time and no one gets a second chance at it.
We are very conscious that education is a partnership between home and school. We believe children are happiest and learn more effectively when there is a strong partnership between home and school. We also wish to strengthen our links with our parish and local community.
At St. Chad’s, everyone is listened to and their contributions valued. Our very successful Ofsted and SIAS Inspections, in June 2013, highlighted our school’s many strengths and excellent qualities and these are available for you to view on our key information page.
We have very high expectations for our pupils’ behaviour and this is underpinned by our caring, sharing Christian ethos. We always strive to further improve the excellent quality of teaching and learning in our school, which is enhanced by modern teaching methods and resources.
We are always delighted to see you and we trust that with your help your child will be a happy, well-educated and cherished member of our school.
We hope that you enjoy your visit to our website, and that you find any information you are looking for. Please feel free to leave comments in the Guestbook, or contact the school direct with any queries you may have.
Thank you for visiting!
Welcome from the Headteacher
At St Chad’s CE Primary School our mission ‘In the light of God; we care, we share, we laugh, we learn’ permeates all we do. We strive to create an atmosphere where everyone feels safe, valued and included. As a Church of England school we mirror the church’s vision for an education which promotes ‘life in all its fullness’ (John 10:10). Our core purpose is to educate the whole child; uniting excellence and academic rigour with spiritual, social, moral and cultural development.
We are a vibrant and happy school where children and staff work hard and share in the enjoyment of learning together. Through creative, engaging and relevant learning experiences we aim to embed a love for lifelong learning. Children are taught the skills and given the tools to enable them to become reflective and resilient learners. They understand what it feels like to experience success; they also understand that although learning is a shared journey it is one we travel at our own pace.
We are extremely proud of our children, not just in their academic achievements, but in their personal, social and spiritual development as well. We have high expectations of everyone within our school family and place an emphasis on encouraging children to be accepting of others, make suitable moral choices, take responsibility for their actions and be active members of our community. Christian Values pervade school life and pupils are encouraged to feel part of a global community in which they can contribute in their own unique way.
Undoubtedly, choosing the right school for your child can pose many questions. We take our partnership with parents very seriously and, through collaboration, will work with you to achieve the best possible outcomes for your child. As you browse our website, I hope you will gain an insight into our distinctiveness and the many opportunities children are given to enable them to grow into; well rounded, courteous, enquiring, confident and happy individuals. Should you require any further information please do not hesitate to get in touch with us.
